FC Nantes boss, Antoine Kombouare relies heavily on Moses Simon. And that is to help the club in their bid to escape going into relegation from the French Ligue 1.
The Brittany bragging rights are on the line on Sunday as Rennes host Nantes whose hopes of survival are slim. And it also suffered a dent in a 2-1 defeat to Nice.
Antoine Kombouare is running out of time to preserve Nantes’ Ligue 1 status. And that is after his side lost to Nice at the Stade de la Beaujoire.
Raymond Domenech and Christian Gourcuff both failed to pull Nantes out of their rut. But Kombouare started well including securing a 2-1 win at Paris Saint-Germain.
That unexpected victory for Nantes at PSG, however, appears to have come long ago as Les Canaris flirt with danger.
Kombouare nevertheless believes Simon has enough quality to help Nantes. And that is with the French manager rating the Nigerian highly.
In a pre-match press conference, Kombouare spoke about the attacking partnership between Simon and Kolo Muani.
In every competition this season, Simon has hit the back of the net on five occasions. And he has set up one goal in 27 appearances for Nantes whom he joined from Levante.
