Ndidi, Iheanacho rated 9/10!

Nigeria duo of Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho helped steer Leicester City near a first ever FA Cup glory as the Foxes defeated Manchester United 3-1 at the King Power stadium to qualify for the semi-finals for the first time in almost 40 years.

Ndidi was at the heart of the Foxes midfield and was rated man of the match by Skysports while influential Leicester Mercury newspaper’s online edition rated the Nigerian nine out of 10 available marks.

Skysports wrote thus about Ndidi: The Leicester midfield is everything a Manchester United midfield should be, led masterfully by Nigeria’s Wilfred Ndidi. His partnership in there with Tielemans has the perfect balance of steel and quality. They ran Fred and Matic ragged in the heart of the pitch as Ndidi tackled everything that moved.

Leicester Mercury corroborated Skysports’ description of the Nigerian thus: Brilliant at both ends of the pitch. When he had to mop up for his defenders, or chase a United player back, he did and got a foot in. When he pressed to win possession high up the pitch, he got a foot in.

Iheanacho scored two of the goals on the night to take his total tally for the season to 12 in 28 games and Leicester Mercury picked him as the star man and rated him nine out of 10.

”Unbelievably good once again. Read the game superbly to add two more to his tally, all the while defending with commitment, playing dangerous passes, and showing lovely tight control. Star man”
