Ndidi rated outstanding in Leicester win vs Liverpool

Ndidi – Leicester City capitalised on a Liverpool implosion to move second in the Premier League table with Nigeria’s Wilfred Ndidi playing a huge part in the 3-1 win at the King Power stadium.

Starting his ninth match against the Premier League champion, the Nigerian was at the heart of every positive move made by the Foxes and was fittingly named man of the match and rated 9 out of a possible 10 by the influential and authoritative Leicester Mercury newspaper.

The former RC Genk of Belgium star was hailed for winning several tackles and the assist for the third goal scored by Harvey Barnes.

The Leicester Mercury wrote thus about Ndidi: ‘He was everywhere. An outstanding performance by Ndidi who was the only Leicester City player not to look rattled in the first half. He won countless tackles and completely shut down Thiago. Won loads of headers too, and sent Barnes away for the third goal.”

The 3-1 win was Ndidi’s third against Liverpool and 59th since he made his debut in the Premier League in January 2017.

He also made his 11th start of the season from 12 games and 127th start overall in 132 matches.

He has scored seven times and provided six assists overall.
