Nicolas Jackson FUMES at Chelsea team-mate Enzo Fernandez after the Argentine stood in his way just as he had the chance to double Blues’ lead against Manchester City

Nicolas Jackson was left fuming at Chelsea team-mate Enzo Fernandez after the Argentine got in the way of his shot during the Blues’ 1-1 draw against Manchester City.

The visitors were leading 1-0 through Raheem Sterling’s first half goal when they got another glaring opportunity to equalise after 66 minutes.

Conor Gallagher pulled the ball back to Christopher Nkunku whose shot was blocked before the ball fell to Jackson’s path inside the box.

The Senegalese striker was set to unleash a shot but Fernandez stood in his way and took it off his feet before blazing a shot over.

Jackson understandably was left unhappy with the midfielder and he made it clear by uttering some words in his direction.

Fans were quick to react on social media, with some claiming that Jackson was right to have a go at Fernandez.

One said: ‘Yeah, I love what Jackson just did! Enzo must be crazy’.

Another said of Fernandez: ‘That was a selfish move’, while a third added, ‘Jackson fuming as if he would’ve scored that’.

Rodri struck seven minutes from time to ensure the points were shared at the Etihad.

The draw leaves City four points behind Premier League leaders Liverpool having played a game less.
