Former Nigerian junior international, Kelechi Nwakali Monday evening made his debut for his new club, Alcorcon in the Spanish Segunda division game against homers, Ponferradina at the Estadio Municipal de Fútbol El Toralín in Ponferrada, Spain.
The 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup best player returned to the Spanish second division side less than six months after gaining promotion from the division to the LaLiga Santander.
The Nigerian moved on loan on transfer deadline day from SD Huesca who got promoted last summer to the LaLiga to make a return to the lower league after finding playing time hard to come by in the Spanish top-flight.
Nwakali started just one out of five LaLiga games he featured in for SD Huesca, playing a total of 138 minutes while in the Copa Del Rey he was subbed on on the two occasions he featured in the competition.
The Nigerian neither scored nor provided an assist in all his seven games for SD Huesca before he was loaned out this winter.
