David Okereke will go all out to score his first Belgian First Division A goal of the year 2021 when Club Brugge confront Sporting Charleroi at the Stade du Pays de Charleroi on Friday.
Okereke has so far netted four goals in 23 Belgian Pro League appearances for Brugge this season but the Nigerian striker last found the back of the net in 2020, precisely in December.
That was on December 26 when his club defeated AS Eupen 3-0 in a Belgian top-flight encounter which took place at the Jan Breydelstadion in the city of Brugge, netting in the 82nd minute.
Brugge are on a 10-match winning streak and 15 points clear at the top of the table with two games in-hand with no signs of stopping now. Brugge have scored at least 2 goals in each of these 10 wins.
Having crashed out of the Belgian Cup and Europa League last week, Brugge beat an in-form Zulte-Waregem 3-0 on Sunday and should be able to repeat the feat here for a fourth-straight clean sheet in the league.
They have won their last six away matches without conceding in four and kept seven clean-sheets in 13 away matches so far this season. Charleroi have failed to win any of their last five league matches at home.
