Sky Sport Italia reports Olivier Giroud is close to joining Milan, who are in advanced talks with Chelsea over a move for the France international.
Giroud has been linked with a move to Milan in recent months and the reports in Italy have suggested the Diavolo are only interested in signing the veteran on a free transfer.
However, Sky Sport Italia reports the operation can now be closed with a small payment by the Rossoneri and no longer as a free transfer.
The broadcaster claims a solution could be found already tomorrow, as Milan continue to negotiate with the Blues.
The turning point can come quickly, according to the report, as Chelsea and Milan are close to agreeing on a small compensation to let the attacker move this summer.
Chelsea triggered an option in the player’s contract to extend until June 2022, to avoid Premier League rivals from securing his services.
The 34-year-old, capped 110 times by France, has scored 39 goals in 119 games for Chelsea and 105 goals in 253 games for Arsenal, where he first arrived when he moved to England from Montpellier in July 2012.
