Olivier Giroud has landed in Italy for his medical with Milan, ready to complete the transfer from Chelsea for €1m plus €1m in bonuses.
The France international, who turns 35 in September, arrived at the Linate airport in Milan with a private jet from Grenoble.
He will have his medical tests at the Milanello training ground on Friday, then sign the two-year contract, which is said to be worth €3.5m per season.
There should also be an option for a third season in the deal.
After weeks of negotiations, Milan and Chelsea finally agreed a transfer fee of €1m, plus another €1m in add-ons.
Olivier Giroud scored 39 goals in the Chelsea jersey and won three trophies, including the Champions League.
Before that, he was also in London playing for Arsenal from 2012 to January 2018.
It’s reported he is not expected to join up with Milan for pre-season training until July 26, as he featured at UEFA EURO 2020 for France.
