Kenneth Omeruo is back from suspension which made him miss CD Leganes’ La Liga SmartBank goalless draw with Castellon at the Estadio Municipal de Butarque last weekend.
Omeruo picked up his fifth yellow card of the 2020/21 season when Leganes lost 1-0 to Ramon Azeez’s Cartagena on 26 February, 2021 which led to an automatic suspension.
The Super Eagles central defender is now in line to make his return for The Cucumber Growers when they pay a visit to Real Oviedo at the Nuevo Carlos Tartiere on Sunday.
Omeruo’s return will certainly give Leganes a very huge boost in their chase for promotion as they have failed to win any of their last two Segunda División fixtures.
The 27-year-old has been playing a key role for the Estadio Municipal de Butarque outfit this season and has scored a goal in 17 games apart from his defensive duties.
Meanwhile, Leganes return to Oviedo almost five years after its last visit, a big step in trying to achieve the first and only promotion in their history to the La Liga.
