Paul Onuachu has given the strongest hint yet that he is ready to make the big transfer.
And that is after he equalled the 30-goal milestone in the Belgian First Division A on Friday.
Onuachu has become the second player to reach 30 goals over the same campaign in the 21st century.
And that is after Wesley Sonck who emerged the first player ever to achieve that feat in the 2001-02 season.
Onuachu found target to help KRC Genk come from behind to beat Royal Antwerp FC 3-2 on Friday night.
He has now told Het Laatste Nieuws that he “feels ready for the next step in his career”.
The striker does not yet know where his future lies but he will know that after the season ends in May.
French Ligue 1 club, Lyon have links to Onuachu with speculations also around clubs in England and Germany.
KRC Genk hope to hit a jackpot for the giant striker amid reports they want 25 million Euros for him.
It is a huge gain considering they bought the player for six million Euros two years ago.
