Paul Onuachu is the second player to reach 30 Belgian Pro League goals over the same campaign in the 21st century.
And that is after Wesley Sonck who emerged the first player ever to achieve that feat in the 2001-02 season.
Onuachu found target to help KRC Genk come from behind to beat Royal Antwerp FC 3-2 on Friday night.
Theo Bongonda put Genk 1-0 ahead of Antwerp in the 20th minute courtesy of an assist from Junya Ito.
Maxime Le Marchand netted for the home side in the 57th minute to tie the scores at 1-1.
Dieumerci Mbokani thereafter set up Koji Miyoshi only four minutes later to put Antwerp into a 2-1 lead.
Onuachu then got the equalising goal for Genk in the 73rd minute from a Theo Bongonda assist.
Bongonda then got his brace two minutes to the end of the game off an Ito assist as Genk won.
Onuachu’s 30th league goal of the season for Genk came about in only his 34th appearance.
No player has scored more in a single season of the Belgian Pro League this very century.
