Nigeria and SS Napoli forward Victor Osimen says he has been feeling much better in the last few days. The former Lille of France striker told Gennaro Gattuso, his coach at Napoli he feels less pain on his shoulder.
This much Gattuso revealed after leading Napoli to a Coppa Italia victory over Empoli on Wednesday. “The boy told me in the last 4-5 days he feels much better,’ said Gattuso at the post match presser.
‘He has less shoulder discomfort and runs a lot. We hope he returns a negative covid-19 test and returns to training on the field,’Gattuso said.
Osimhen has been unavailable for selection since he injured his shoulder in the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier last November. The Nigerian has missed 14 games for his club and he will be available for this weekend’s Serie A game against Fiorentina and the Italian Super Cup against Juventus next mid-week.
