Osimhen More Valuable Than Messi, Ronaldo!…Napoli star is Nigeria’s most expensive player, fourth in Africa

Nigeria and Napoli forward Victor Osimhen has been ranked the 72nd most valuable player by the CIES Football Observatory in its bi-annual list of the top five league players with the biggest transfer values.

According to CIES Football Observatory algorithm, which takes myriad factors into consideration including age, contract duration, performances and inflation amongst other things, the Super Eagles star is valued at €62.2m,€8.2m more expensive by Barcelona captain,Lionel Messi and €15.2m more valuable than Juventus forward,Cristiano Ronaldo
Osimhen is also ranked the fourth most valuable African player behind Egypt and Liverpool’s Mo Salah who is ranked 12 with a market value of €134m,Senegal and Liverpool’s Sadio Mane (€123.8m) who is ranked 14th most valuable in Europe as well as Achraf Hakimi of Inter Milan and Morocco who is ranked the 16th best with a market value of Achraf Hakimi €113.7m.

The only other Nigerian-by-blood player who made the CIES Football Observatory list is Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka whose market value of €116.2m makes him the 15th most valuable in Europe.

Meanwhile,Osimhen remains the most valubale player in Nigeria.
