Osimhen Scores Brace In Napoli Win Over Bayern Munich

Napoli picked up a spectacular 3-0 victory away to Bayern Munich thanks to a Victor Osimhen brace and Zinedine Machach curler.

Former Juventus man Kinglsey Coman lasted just eight minutes before having to leave the pitch, after an early knock to the ribs when colliding with Stanislav Lobotka.

Nikita Contini made a fine save on Jamal Musiala’s angled drive after a well-worked move, then Eric Choupo-Moting’s overhead kick follow-up was wide.

Eljif Elmas tested the Bayern goalkeeper with a volley into the ground, then Zedadka turned a Matteo Politano cross over from point-blank range, perhaps surprised that he’d managed to sneak between the two centre-backs.

Napoli got stronger as the first half wore on, Victor Osimhen’s header over from a Mario Rui cross.

However, Serge Gnabry’s strike was deflected off Kostas Manolas, Contini fingertipping it onto the near post.

There was a nasty clash of heads after the restart between Osimhen and Lawrence.

However, the Nigerian not only recovered, he went on to give Napoli the lead at the Allianz Arena. Adam Ounas pounced on a defensive error and set up Osimhen to drill into the far bottom corner from the edge of the area.

Moments later, Osimhen found the back of the net again in similar circumstances. Again Bayern were caught out by Napoli’s midfield press, once more Ounas made the assist and Osimhen turned a precise angled drive into the far bottom corner.

The impressive Ounas had to be carried away by medical staff following a rough challenge from Richards on his ankle.

It still wasn’t over, as Zinedine Machach curled a stunner into the far bottom corner from the D, as the Bayern defence did not track back at all on a long ball.
