Osimhen tipped to help Napoli end Inter winning run

Victor Osimhen has been tipped to help Napoli to put an end to Inter Milan‘s winning streak in the Serie A when the two club-sides face each other in a crunch contest next weekend.

Inter are currently eleven points clear at the top of the Serie A table thanks to an eleventh straight win after Matteo Darmian’s goal sealed a 1-0 triumph over Cagliari on Sunday.

Osimhen on his own part scored in Napoli’s 2-0 win over Sampdoria on Sunday, he spearheaded the attack and made a massive impact by netting Napoli’s second goal in the 87th minute.

Salvatore Bagni, a former Italian manager who saw the match where Osimhen performed well by making two vital passes and winning five aerial contests spoke to Radio Marte on Monday.

“Now, we have two important challenges with Inter Milan and Lazio, I am convinced that we will end the Nerazzurri’s winning streak whether it be with a win or a draw,” Bagni said.

On Osimhen, he said: “On Sunday, I saw the footballer I knew. He scored a wonderful goal with his own skills. I am convinced that from now on, we will see the very best of Osimhen.

“We must understand if he can still be the player to spearhead Napoli’s attack or if it is Dries Mertens. Osimhen now does right things and has also regained the optimal condition.”
