Victor Osimhen will return to competitive football action next week Thursday, 28 January when Napoli face Spezia in the Coppa Italia if the result of the Covid-19 test he had comes out negative.
Osimhen underwent another test yesterday to ascertain his Covid-19 status and according to a report on top Italian website, areanapoli, the result will be out today.
“In reality, even if the test still showed a slight infection at Covid, he could start training in Castelvolturno alone and without crossing other companions.
“The rule provides for this possibility when the player reaches the 21st day of positivity as long as he receives a release from the competent Local Health Authority.
“Osimhen is working at his home on the treadmill and a week of training with his team-mates will be enough for his return to the field on Thursday, 28 January in the Italian Cup.
“If today, the buffer is negative, his return will be against Spezia at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona sitting on the bench.”
