Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has been named in the Serie A Team of the Week after helping Napoli to a 4-1 demolition of Spezia on Saturday.
Osimhen was included in the Team of the Week by football facts and statistics website whoscored.com.
The 22-year-old striker was on target twice for Napoli who are fourth in the Serie A table with three round of matches remaining.
And in the Team of the Week which is in a 4-4-2 formation, Osimhen is one of two forwards in the striking position with Roma’s Borja Mayoral.
Osimhen has now scored eight goals in his last 10 league appearances and he is one of the hottest strikers in Europe’s top five leagues since the start of March.
Also named in the team of the week list is another Nigerian by blood, Chelsea-owned Fikayo Tomori is on loan at AC Milan.
Tomori scored his first Serie A and third goal for the Rossonnerri in their spanking of now dethroned Serie A champions, Juventus in Turin.
The England defender is one of four defenders picked by whoscored who rated the Nigerian 8.9, the highest of all four.
