Paul Onuachu will be looking to score his 30th goal across board when KRC Genk visit Royal Antwerp FC in Saturday’s Belgian First Division A contest at the Bosuil Stadion.
Onuachu maintained his fine goal-scoring form when KRC Genk defeated Sint-Truiden 4-1 in Sunday’s Belgian First Division A game at the Luminus Arena by scoring a goal again.
His effort took his tally to 27 goals in 32 league ties, 29 goals in total (including two Cup goals) making him the highest scoring Super Eagles star in Europe this season.
The 26-year-old is enjoying his best season in front of goal since he kicked off his professional career in the Danish Superliga with Midtjylland a whopping nine years ago.
Paul Onuachu made a statement during the international break after scoring one goal each in Nigeria’s last two 2022 African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin and Lesotho.
He scored the late match-winning goal in the 1-0 result against Benin in Porto-Novo and later sealed their 3-0 triumph over Lesotho at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos.
