Juventus have reportedly confirmed Andrea Pirlo will continue in charge and will be in the dugout against Sassuolo.
Pirlo was hired last summer, replacing Maurizio Sarri after one season at the Allianz Stadium, and started his coaching career with the Bianconeri.
It has been a difficult season for the former Italy international and the Old Lady hierarchy met to discuss the coach’s future today.
SportItalia reports the coach will be able to see out the season, as the club has few options and a busy schedule.
Juventus face Sassuolo at the Mapei Stadium already on Wednesday, and then Inter only three days later.
Then the Bianconeri will play Atalanta in the Coppa Italia Final on May 19, before concluding the season against Bologna on May 23.
Juventus currently sit fifth in Serie A and risk not qualifying for the Champions League next season, but even a place in the prestigious competition doesn’t seem to be enough for Pirlo to keep his job beyond the summer.
