Real Madrid hit Kylian Mbappe with transfer deadline as new move made | Football | Sport

Real Madrid are reportedly set to make a fresh approach to Kylian Mbappe as they look to lure the superstar away from Paris Saint-Germain once again. He is free to speak with foreign teams regarding a pre-contract on January 1, but Carlo Ancelotti’s side have been snubbed before by the France and PSG forward.

The Athletic claim that Madrid are ready to pursue Mbappe again after he turned down Los Blancos earlier this year to pen a new contract to remain with PSG, despite Lionel Messi and Neymar departing for Inter Miami and Al-Hilal respectively.

But having put an incredible amount of effort into their previous offer for Mbappe only to be turned down as he sensationally pledged another year to PSG, Madrid have set him a new deadline of mid-January to decide whether he wants to move to Spain.

Contact between the two parties has not dissipated despite a feeling in Madrid that Mbappe betrayed them by committing to PSG. They would like to pair him with Jude Bellingham, Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo and Endrick but only on the club’s terms.

Ancelotti recently extended his contract with Madrid until 2026 and wants Mbappe to join him, while the 25-year-old friend Vinicius Jr has also stated his desire for another blockbuster forward to arrive at the Bernabeu.

However, PSG do believe that Mbappe will resist the temptation once again and sign another new contract in Paris. They believe he is content after their summer recruitment and Madrid cannot afford the financial package their talisman desires.
