Turkish Super Lig giants, Galatasaray want Nigeria winger, Henry Onyekuru on loan for free till the end of the season, according to Turkey’s sporting daily, Fanatik.
Officials of Galatasaray,according to reports have tabled the bid before the player’s club,AS Monaco of France with an offer of a compulsory €5m purchase option at the end of the season.
Monaco,according to the report initially demanded €9.5m for the player that has become surplus to requirements at the Municipality club and later reduced it to €7.5m when Galatasaray insisted on their €5m offer at the end of the season after an initial loan deal this January.
The Ligue 1 club, the report says told officials of the Turkish club that they will evaluate the offer and get back to them.
The report added that Galatasaray coach, Fatih Terim is putting pressure on the management of the club to get the Nigerian who scored only once and provided two assists in 10 games while on loan at the club last season. In the 2018/19 season, Onyekuru scored 14 times and provided five assists in 31 games for the club.
In Monaco, the Nigerian has only appeared four times in Ligue 1, starting two of the games. He last featured for the club about four months ago and has missed the last 13 games before the winter break.
