Super Eagles chief coach, Gernot Rohr appears to be very much happy with the recent move of Ahmed Musa to Kano Pillars in the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL).
The Super Eagles captain, Musa on Tuesday sensationally made his return to Pillars FC for the reminder of the 2020/21 Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) season.
Musa previously played for the Pride of Kano in 2009 where he ended the season as the top scorer in the NPFL with 18 goals before moving to VVV-Venlo in the Netherlands.
An official statement from the club on Tuesday revealed that the Sai Masu Gida agreed to re-sign their former attacking sensation until the end of the 2020/21 campaign.
Amongst the contractual agreement reached and would be documented between Musa and Pillars is that anytime the player gets an offer from abroad, he would be released by the club.
“I’m very happy for Ahmed Musa to be able to play again with his old club, Kano Pillars,” Rohr said.
“This will allow him to keep in shape while waiting to find a club elsewhere in the world.
“Kano Pillars are a good club and I wish him all the best at the club,” the German football gaffer added. Musa became a free agent in October when he parted ways with Saudi Arabian club, Al Nassr.
