The manager of Golden Tulip Hotel, Cotonou where the Super Eagles of Nigeria are staying for today’s 2022 African Cup of Nations qualification match against the Republic of Benin has revealed that seeing the Nigerian players live is dream come true for him and even some of his staff who know and follow football.
Nigeria will today lock horns with Benin Republic in an AFCON qualifier at the Charles de Gaulle Stadium.
And ahead of the game, Complete Sports visited the Golden Tulip Hotel in Cotonou where the Super Eagles are lodged to speak with the manager.
“I follow football very well and I know a lot about these Nigerian players who are all great stars. I must confess to you that seeing the likes of Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi live is dream come true for me. Also finally getting to see Alex Iwobi, Victor Osimhen and the other players is something I will always treasure,” the manager who failed to disclose his name and also take pictures said in French.
He also believes that with the Golden Tulip Hotel hosting the Super Eagles, business would become much better for the organization.
When pressed further to predict the outcome of the game between Benin and Nigeria, he said “I wouldn’t like to go there at all as I must admit that I am scared of these Nigerian players because I know what they can do especially with the likes of Samuel Chukwueze, Iwobi, Osimhen and Iheanacho.”
