Tottenham’s first disagreement with Antonio Conte may be a bad sign for Daniel Levy | Football | Sport

Conte is a different calibre of manager, fitting in the same mould as Mourinho in terms of achievements in the game.

But Levy will also have to accept Conte’s full demands which may test Tottenham’s resolve in future transfer windows.

In Conte’s first transfer window as Inter boss, he spent just over £170million on new signings – the biggest summer of spending in the club’s history.

A further £100m was spent the following year and it proved to work as he led Inter the league title.

Tottenham will have to decide if they’re willing to go down a similar route and fully back Conte in the transfer market as he has demanded in the past.

But Express Sport understands talks are already underway with Conte, suggesting they’re willing to give Conte what he wants.
