Premier League clubs have fewer than two weeks to complete their January transfer window business, leaving managers scrambling to assemble their squads in the final part of the month. It has been a relatively quiet window for the top-flight’s biggest clubs, five of whom are yet to spend a penny.
However, that could soon change with the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal all needing reinforcements to ensure they achieve their aims come the end of the season. United and Chelsea need to strengthen their squads to ensure they qualify for European competition, while Liverpool and Arsenal could do with some fresh impetus to help them challenge Manchester City for the Premier League title.
