After beating Conor McGregor in the second of their duels, Dustin Poirier said in an interview that, curiously, his opponent did better on the sporting level when he behaved arrogantly before fights.
Ahead of their fight this weekend, McGregor seems to have returned to his past habits as he didn’t hesitate to provoke Poirier again by claiming that his opponent will not be alive after the duel that is set to take place on Sunday.
“Every shot I have thrown in this camp is a kill shot, so that’s it,” McGregor told his website The MacLife. “I’m going to kill this man.
“Just a slaughter and a play with a scared little boy. He’s fighting scared like he always does, like they always do against me, so now I’m going to play with the little boy, play with me food, and then just devour it.”
“He’s a corpse; a dead body, a blank face that’s going to get his ass whooped and taken out on a stretcher.”
The winner of the fight between the two men could face Charles Oliveira for the lightweight title and McGregor has already set date and venue for that fight despite not having defeated Poirier yet.
“That Allegiant Stadium is where we’re heading,” McGregor added. “I feel maybe Christmas time in December.
