UD Almeria will be without the services of Umar Sadiq for Sunday’s La Liga SmartBank clash with Ponferrada following his yellow card against Kelechi Nwakali’s Alcorcon last time out.
Sadiq fired blank as Almeria played out a goalless draw with Alcorcon at the Mediterranean Games Stadium last Monday and was yellow carded in the 90th minute of the tough encounter.
The forward had two chances in the first six minutes but failed to grab them by firing over the cross bar on both occasions but his booking made it his sixth yellow card this season.
And automatically, the Nigerian attacker will not be part of Almeria’s next game against Ponferrada. Sadiq has scored 14 goals and made five assists in just 26 league games for Almeria.
Meanwhile Sadiq’s market value has risen by €2m to €8m following the update carried out by Transfermarkt on Friday.
The Nigerian’s value ahs been on the up since he switched Serbian side Partizan Belgrade for the Spanish second division side last October. From €2m value while at Partizan Belgrade in April 2020,the Nigerian’s market value soared to €6m in two months following his incredible display in just three months, scoring six times in 10 games between August and October 2020.At Almeria Sadiq’s value dropped to €5m when he joined in October but rose to €6m this January before the latest rise.
