Union Berlin are making progress in their efforts to sign veteran Juventus centre-back Leonardo Bonucci, according to Sky in Germany.
The two clubs are close to a deal, with the decision then coming down to agreement of personal terms with the 36-year-old.
Bonucci, who has also been linked with Lazio, is no longer part of Juventus’ first-team plans and is in the final year of his contract.
Union are playing in the Champions League this season and have signed Germany internationals Kevin Volland and Robin Gosens this summer
