WWE’s Steve Austin looks unrecognizable for new look for Super Bowl commercial

The first-ever Kawasaki Super Bowl ad features mullets, a side-by-side vehicle, and former WWE star Steve ‘Stone Cold’ Austin – but if you blinked you might have missed him.

The commercial that debuted online last month promoted the Kawasaki Ridge – a side-by-side vehicle that the company released last month.

The January 25 debut clip racked up 1.2 million views on Instagram and more than 3 million on YouTube. The WWE legend and the car company re-released the commercial on social media and received nearly 250,000 views in less than 24 hours.

Austin – known for his bald head, 3:16 slogan and chugging beers in the ring – has been a fixture in wrestling and helped return the WWE, then to WWF, to dominance when ratings had slipped in the 1990s.

In the ad, Austin goes from being bald to having a mullet when the Kawasaki zooms past making him unrecognizable.

The ad featured two other men who got into the Kawasaki Ridge and grew mullets after they turned on the car.

An eagle grew a mullet right after the men drove past it in the woods. The pair then placed wood in the back of the vehicle and sped away in the car after a turtle grew a mullet.

The driver and passenger drove past a grizzly bear with a mullet, and drove past Austin while the former wrestler chopped a rock in half.

The WWE Hall of Fame member and his dog grew mullets after watching the two men drive away in the Ridge.

‘Thanks fellas,’ said the smiling wrestler.

The car commercial ended with ad’s main theme: ‘Business in the front, party in the back.’
