Zinedine Zidane spoke to the press shortly after the draw for the Champions League quarter finals.
Real Madrid will face Liverpool in the last eight, and Zidane is well aware of the threat they pose having faced them in the 2018 final in Kiev.
“We know the difficulties at this level,” he said.
“It will be very demanding, especially physically.”
Zidane was once again asked about his future at Real Madrid.
“I do not look beyond the day to day,” he responded.
“I do not plan anything. You can sign for ten years and leave soon after, and vice versa.”
There are plenty of veterans in the Real Madrid squad, and Zidane gave them plenty of praise.
“I see their passion, their desire to be the best and want more,” he said.
“I enjoy each training session with them and the good work environment we have.”
Eden Hazard suffered another injury setback last week but Zidane insists he will not undergo surgery just yet.
“We want him to recover well, that is the most important thing. He is not going to undergo an operation, the plan is different.
“We are working on it. We want him to return fully recovered.”
