Rangers are set to miss out on signing winger Bright Osayi-Samuel for a second consecutive window, Football Insider understands.
The Scottish giants were in the race for the 23-year-old in January only for Fenerbahce to beat leading English and Scottish clubs to a deal.
Rangers have approached Fenerbahce about signing Osayi-Samuel just six months later amid reports they are cash-strapped and willing to offload top stars.
But a source has told Football Insider the Turkish club have no plans to sell the former QPR star in the current window and have privately issued a hands-off warning.
Football Insider first revealed last summer the Ibrox outfit were keen on signing Osayi-Samuel on a pre-contract deal as he entered the final 12 months of his QPR contract.
Instead, he opted for a January switch to Fenerbahce and he has played 19 times for his new club as they finished third in the Super Lig and qualified for the Europa League.
The 23-year-old is a graduate of Blackpool’s academy but made the move to QPR in 2017.
He scored 13 goals and provided 13 assists in 115 games across all competitions in his four-year spell with the Championship outfit.
Osayi-Samuel would have offered Rangers more competition down the right-hand side of their front three.
