Jones has long been a supporter of Moore’s, believing in his ability to construct an offense, work with quarterbacks, and call plays from an early age. With Moore in charge, Dak Prescott has done his best job, and Jones is pleased with the coordinator’s manner and progress, seeing him as a potential head coach in the future. Moore’s departure would be considered as a huge departure by the Jones family, and despite McCarthy’s Lombardi Trophy, he took the position knowing Jones wanted Moore to stay as coordinator. McCarthy’s two-year tenure has not been without its highs and lows.

Quinn previously served as the head coach of the Atlanta Falcons, leading them to the Super Bowl before returning to Dallas after being fired by the Falcons. He immediately turned around a Cowboys defense that had been abysmal for years, becoming one of the most sought-after candidates of current hiring cycle in the process. The Jaguars sought an interview with Quinn, which has yet to take place, while the Broncos, Dolphins, Vikings, and Bears have also asked to speak with him.
