Napoli forward Victor Osimhen reassured fans he’s doing well after a nasty clash of heads in the 1-1 draw with Cagliari. ‘I can’t wait for the next game’.
The Nigerian centre-forward scored the Partenopei’s goal and was heavily involved in most of what the home side produced.
But after a nasty clash of heads with Luca Ceppitelli, he was replaced by Dries Mertens after 76 minutes.
Nahitan Nandez equalised in stoppages for the Sardinians, helping the Rossoblu secure another point in the relegation battle.
After the match, Osimhen responded to a message on Twitter, asking for his conditions.
“Thanks for having checked on me,” he wrote. “I’m fine and can’t wait for the next game.
“We’ll give our all until the end.”
Osimhen scored his sixth goal in the his last 10 appearances for Napoli in the draw with Cagliari and eighth overall in 20 games so far this term.
The Nigerian will be seeking to score for the fourth game on the bounce when Napoli visit the Stadio Alberto Picco to face their host, Spezia in a matchweek 35 tie before hosting Udinese three days later at the Armando Maradona stadium in Naples.
